The island of Dokdo belongs to Dokdo-ri, Ulleung-eup, Ulleung county, North Gyeongsang, South Korea. The authentic record of Dokdo dates back to around 1,500. This picturesque island has been our territoriy steadily for 1500 years or so. Dokdo has far more meaning as a territory to Koreans and Dokdo is an intergral part of Korean territory.
